The Cisco 2821 is a modular router that provide a range of features for small to medium-sized businesses and enterprise branch offices. It is a modular router that can be configured with a variety of different WAN and LAN interface modules to support a wide range of WAN and LAN connectivity options, including Ethernet, T1/E1, ISDN, and serial.

The Cisco IOS Software that powers the Cisco 2821 includes support for a wide range of transport protocols, including Frame Relay, ATM, PPP, HDLC, and Ethernet. It also includes support for Quality-of-Service (QoS) tools such as IP Precedence and Differentiated Services to help ensure that mission-critical traffic is given priority over less important traffic.
