The Cubro Universal Optical Bypass for links up to 100 Gbit line speed is the optimum data-link protection selection from electrical spikes/outages or other link problems. Deploy it individually or with an intrusion detection/prevention. Whenever your IDS or IPS systems are offline, the Universal Optical Bypass Switch will continue data-flow by ensuring that faulty or unavailable devices are bypassed.

When in “Stand-Alone” mode, the Cubro CBR.BYSW-SM-100-1-R3 Universal Optical Bypass TAP provides secure and rapid protection from electrical outages or other types of link failures. Whenever these problems are detected, the extremely rapid switching relays ensure that the link is closed.

The Cubro Universal Optical Bypass TAP works by itself or with a Cubro Packetmaster, which can work as a bypass device with Heartbeat functionality on any port and port speed. Combine the Bypass TAP and a Packetmaster to bypass multiple links that are connected to one sensitive device like a firewall. This modular concept reduces cost and offers a lot of flexibility. You can use a Web interface to control the Universal Optical Bypass and a REST interface to monitor and control the Bypass’ status.
