The EX2 Network Packet Broker is a flexible device presenting a unique combination of features. The small EX2 offers portability not typically found in NPBs. It can easily be transported in a laptop bag. Not withstanding its modest size, it makes no compromises when it comes to functionality.

As with all instruments in this series, the EX2 derives its power from dual 12V inputs; allowing field usage on battery-based power sources, while providing power redundancy in fixed environments. For mounting, 1 RU rack-mounts are available and conveniently installed into customary 19-inch racks, allowing for two EX2s to be mounted side by side or, alternatively, one EX2 along with a network TAP.
